Integrale kwaliteitszorg is een methode van voortdurende aandacht voor verbetering van een organisatie
in al haar onderdelen, haar producten, diensten en processen. TQM is gebaseerd op leiderschap bij het topmanagement en
draagvlak bij de medewerkers van alle afdelingen van de organisatie en gericht op het produceren en leveren van producten
en diensten die voldoen aan de kwaliteitseisen, zoals deze door klanten worden gesteld.
TQM is zowel een visie (filosofie) als een set instrumenten.
