The objective of CE is to command all the stages of the development lifecycle of a product simultaneously, from the outline to the delivery, and to concentrate on shortening the time needed for this product development or engineering. The focus is on the development costs and quality of the product, so that the quality of production will be improved. The design, production, and marketing of new products have traditionally been carried out consecutively as a series of repeated measures. As distinct from this, the idea of CE is to carry out the whole development process of the product simultaneously so that the best result will be achieved for the process as a whole.
