EAI is multiform and still a little
open as a concept. For this reason, the definition of the concept may vary
in different connections. Broadly speaking, EAI is the IT infrastructure of
the company, a constantly developing process aimed at forming a logical
totality that supports the integration of business processes of the company
by means of IT.
EAI refers to the technology that enables efficient and fluent data transfer
and distribution between the system applications in the information
network of the company. Therefore, the principle of EAI has been created
from the need to move information more effectively both within and between
companies. In practical terms, EAI usually appears as commercial
middleware software, which the suppliers willingly connect with the EAI
term.
