Reality-oriented performance experiential system
(ROPES) is a form of active training that can incorporate
elements of individual as well as team
activity. The goal of the training is to offer personal
and team challenge that involves such skills as
interpersonal communication, teamwork, time
and resource management, creativity, strategic
planning, goal setting, problem-solving, and decision-
making. Activities typically include the use
of various materials such as boards, cinder blocks,
bricks, logs, rope, and toys. There are high as well
as low elements (obstacles) that must be overcome
during the activity.
