CPC (Collaborative Product Commerce) is a new three-letter acronym,
which refers to the adoption of product life cycle management principles
particularly in networked business environments, utilizing the cooperative
possibilities brought by the Internet. Important in this context is
the cooperation between customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and partners.
The idea is to make the product the common denominator in the network.
The term CPC was created by companies and consultant organizations
delivering PLM / PDM software. They wanted to bring a new perspective
to the application of collaborative PDM principles on a more extensive and
even global scale.
