A cycle that usually includes: planning, measuring, monitoring and taking
corrective action, that is:
- Effective planning determines how the project is to be approached
- Monitoring and reporting then relates actual performance against these plans
- Action may be needed to ensure performance is maintained
- Re-planning may be necessary to ensure the project is accomplished
successfully.
All these together constitute control.
